**DuckHunt V4 Setup**
1/ [Invite the bot](https://duckhunt.me/invite)
2/ Go to the channel you want to play in. Type `dh!set enabled True`
3/ Subscribe the channel to <#793563942416416788> for the event notifications (optional, you may skip this step)
4/ Subscribe to <#356092438512795649> for updates about the bot (optional, you may skip this step)
5/ Make sure the @everyone role can `use external emojis`
6/ Edit [settings](https://duckhunt.me/docs/bot-administration/edit-settings-settings-list) if you'd like
7/ Make sure the game is running fine by typing `dh!coin`. You should see a duck appear.

• `dh!set language fr_FR` - Change the language
• `dh!set ducks_per_day 123` - Spawn more/less ducks

**Inviting the bot**

Click [here](https://duckhunt.me/invite) and select your server.

You need to have the `manage_server` permission to add a bot to a server.

**Select permissions**

On the next screen, read the permissions DuckHunt will get in your server, then press the `Authorize` button.

**Choose a channel in your server**

Select a channel you want to play in. 

A good channel can either be a channel made for the game, or a general discussion channel. If you opt to run the bot in the general channel, you'll have to make sure that not too many ducks can spawn at a time.

In that channel, type `dh!set enabled True`

**Subscribe to the announcements channel**

Subscribe to the <#356092438512795649> channel by clicking the `Follow` button at the top of the channel.

You'll want to follow the announcements in your **moderation channel**.

Note that this step is also optional, and not required to play the game. However, we do recommend you subscribe to get the latest updates.

**Subscribe to the information channel**

Just like in the previous step, you'll want to subscribe your **game channel** to the <#793563942416416788> channel. This will send the new events and important information directly to your players.

As in the previous step, this step is also optional but recommended to get the latest updates.

**Make sure everyone can use external emojis**

DuckHunt uses webhooks, so you'll have to make sure that the @everyone role has all the required permissions to `use_external_emojis`

**Edit settings**

You are almost there. You can now customize the game to your liking. You should read [this page](https://duckhunt.me/docs/bot-administration/edit-settings-settings-list) to know more about all the settings the bot has to offer and how to edit them.

**Check that everything is fine**

You can now check that everything is fine by spawning a duck. Use the `dh!coin` command to make sure a duck appear. You can now kill the duck with the usual `dh!bang` command.

Ducks will spawn automatically, you don't have to do anything.
